As a very experienced accounting lecturer with a FCPA qualification, I always encouraged my accounting students to start out as a bookkeeper and build their accounting experience from there.
Why?
Bookkeeping is where accounting begins!! Infact, it is the most important process in the world of accounting. Without having someone to build the numbers and looking after the books properly, how can you do all the funky and complex analyses?
I created my Profit Bookkeeping (https://lnkd.in/gyTzh_A) company purely for this reason as I want my Graduates Accountants to begin their long accounting journey on the right step forward.
